I'm Mohamed Irfan, a React, Next.js and Node.js developer based in Kerala, India. I work for a Dubai-based software company on its cloud ERP, HRMS and CRM platform for UAE and Indian businesses — where I've built most of the sales, purchase, inventory, HRMS, CRM and reporting modules, including the GPS Work Route module. Before software, I spent 10 years as a mechanical engineer in the Gulf.
I'm open to new full-stack roles: fully remote from anywhere, or on-site in the UAE and across the GCC.
GPS Work Route Module
Pharmaceutical distributors had no reliable way to know whether sales reps actually visited their assigned pharmacies, or how their day was spent. I designed and built a location-based route and visit module from scratch inside the ERP's HRMS.

Modules I Built and Rebuilt
Beyond Work Route, I've built or rebuilt most of the ERP's day-to-day modules — business operations, HRMS, CRM, reporting and settings.
Sales, Purchase & Inventory
Sales entry, sales and purchase orders, purchase, service and manufacturing entries, and inventory — rebuilt in the new UI. For example, sales entry: customer details, a product table with description, quantity, rate, VAT and discount, and a payment cart supporting cash, card, cheque, EMI, credit and PDC.
Invoices, Vouchers & Printing
Invoice and voucher generation for every business module, with a shared print helper so any module — including reports — can produce a consistent, print-ready document.
Reports & Dashboards
Revamped the entire reports module in the new UI (ledgers, balances, sales, purchase, payroll), and added a dashboard for each module: sales, inventory, accounts, CRM and HR.
Payroll & Final Settlement
Monthly salary slips generated from marked attendance, leave and late-coming deductions, salary history, and UAE end-of-service / final settlement calculation.
Attendance (rebuilt)
Took over the first version from a colleague and reworked it end to end: check-in/out, remote attendance over multiple days, leaves, short leave and half days, HR marking on behalf of staff, and bulk marking.
Employee Module & HR Dashboard
Employee records, visa and document uploads with renewal reminders, designation and increment history, and an HR dashboard with attendance, payroll and approval data.
CRM
Built the CRM module end to end: lead, task and follow-up workflows, Meta Lead Ads and WhatsApp integration, duplicate-entry fixes, filters and reports — plus fixing a bug where one company could see another's statuses.
Settings & New UI Migration
Rebuilt the settings pages and all their tabs, and moved the ERP from its old interface to the new design across the application, including the mobile app screens.
Testing & Quality
Set up Playwright end-to-end tests for the ERP and Pharma ERP, and wrote unit tests for the core API controllers (sales, purchase, inventory, HR, auth).
I also rebuilt the product's marketing website from Figma designs, and added file storage on DigitalOcean Spaces.

Games I build in my spare time to try ideas outside business software: canvas rendering, game loops, procedural levels and automated Android builds.
Pixel-art action platformer with 9 stages, boss fights, combo combat and touch controls. Playable in the browser; the Android APK is built automatically with GitHub Actions.
Colour-sorting puzzle with test tubes of potions: 1,000 levels, each generated from its number and checked by a solver so it's always solvable, with hidden layers as difficulty rises.
Arcade snake game with grenades: chain-reaction combos, three modes (Classic, Walls, Maze) and power-ups.

I talk to customers
When a customer has a complex requirement, our sales team puts me on the call. I understand the problem first-hand, propose the solution, then build it and keep the customer updated until it's live.
AI-assisted development
I learned to code from documentation and Stack Overflow, long before AI tools existed. Since ChatGPT arrived it has been my daily pair programmer, and I now use Claude Code for larger refactors, tests and deployments, including on my own products and side projects. AI speeds up the typing; I own the design, the review and the testing.
